Local events to watch

Dallas Christmas Tree Lighting: The city’s vendor FAQ directs retail and tent vendor applications through the Dallas Woman’s Club. Spaces are limited, with an emphasis on unique handmade and artisan goods. The 2026 event date, fee, and deadline are not confirmed here. Read the city’s vendor guidance.

Kennesaw City Holiday Market: The city calendar lists November 13–14, 2026 at Ben Robertson Community Center, but its event description contains a conflicting year. Confirm the dates, vendor availability, fee, and deadline with Parks & Recreation. View the city event listing.

Get ready for your next craft fair

  • Choose the right fit: Confirm whether your product category is accepted, whether goods must be handmade, and whether similar vendors are already booked.
  • Prepare your application: Keep product photos, a booth photo or layout, a short business description, and your shop links ready.
  • Budget the whole day: Include the booth fee, travel, display supplies, packaging, payment fees, and your time. Divide fixed event costs by your average profit per item to estimate how many items cover those costs.
  • Plan your setup: Ask about booth dimensions, tent weights, electricity, load-in, parking, weather plans, and required paperwork.
  • Help customers find you again: Bring clear prices, business cards, and a QR code to your Maker Porch shop.
  • Track what works: Record sales, expenses, best sellers, and customer feedback after each event.
